Eggless Coffee Beans Cookies

I am a coffee aficionado and have been experimenting with using coffee in my recipes. And one of the best results has been these Eggless Coffee Beans Cookies. When I made them for the first time, I wasn’t sure whether both my daughters would like them, but these beautiful delights were a superhit! Both my angels loved them so much that now I make them regularly on their demand!

I want to give a big thanks to Sonia Gupta, who’s recipe inspired me to make these coffee beans cookies. I have made a few changes in her recipe including the use of whole wheat flour. I changed the amount of coffee powder and sugar as well to make it less strong so that both my angels can also devour those cute coffee bean shaped coffee cookies.

These Eggless Coffee Beans Cookies are really easy to make and trust me you are definitely to go for making the next batch (es)!

So let’s start making these cutie delicious Coffee Cookies 😊

The ingredients for making eggless coffee beans cookies are:

  1. Whole wheat flour: 80gm                 
  2. Butter: 55gm                
  3. Sugar: 45gm (powdered)                                 
  4. Cornflour: 1Tbsp                      
  5. Cocoa Powder: 2 Tbsp                 
  6. Coffee Powder: 1 tsp                
  7. Milk: 2 tsp          
  8. Baking Powder: ¼ tsp


Take butter (softened, at normal temperature), and sugar (powdered) in a big bowl and whisk it well till it becomes light, fluffy and creamy.

After that sift all the dry ingredients – whole wheat flour, cornflour, cocoa powder, baking powder, coffee powder – into the bowl and mix it well with a spatula.

Now add milk and mix it with spatula, do not overmix it.

At first it would look like breadcrumbs then use your hand to press them to make a smooth dough.

Now take a small portion out of it, make it oval shape, then make a cut impression with knife to give them the coffee bean shape.

You can make about 14-16 coffee beans cookies from it.

Preheat the oven, place those coffee beans cookies on a baking tray at little distance and bake it at 1800C for 12-15 minutes.

Then take it out from the oven, let it cool down for few minutes. Voila, your Eggless Coffee Beans Cookies are ready!

Insider Tips/Finer Points:

  • If you want strong coffee taste, you can change the amount of coffee and sugar.
  • You can make these cookies with plain flour instead of whole wheat flour if you like.
  • Butter must be softened, neither hard nor melted.
  • Do not over mix the ingredients, just mix it normally and make a smooth dough.
  • If you want a strong taste of coffee then instead of adding the coffee powder, put the coffee powder in a tsp of hot water and then add into the mix.
